An impressive Louis XV style gilt-ormolu-mounted veneer and marquetry inlaid bombé shaped three drawers Commode the model by François Linke Circa 1891,
Raised by elegant slightly splayed curved legs with richly chased foliate ormolu turned sabots. Ormolu chutes lead up each leg to exuberant and wonderfully executed large corner mounts of rockwork, acanthus and blossoming foliate motifs in a rich satin and burnished finish. The arbalest shaped frieze is centered by a fine pierced foliate ormolu reserve and fabulous detailed band movements running to the contour of the legs and continue to the drawers,
At the center are three different size drawers sans traverse double veneer inlaid and applied with artistic scrolling floral marquetry patterns, each drawer is framed in encircled with foliate ormolu border, has foliate hands and centered with faux ormolu floral keyhole escutcheon,
The ormolu works and marquetry are repeated in harmony on the sides and a fine serpentine shaped moulded marble top is placed above the top confronting frieze.
