A Majestic French late 19th Century Louis XVI style opulent fifteen pieces Dining Room Set À Vantaux after the model by Guillaume Benneman and Joseph Stöckel executed for Marie-Antoinette for the Salon des Jeux at Fontainebleau and the Château de Compiègne; the fine dining set is intricately ormolu-mounted and sans-traverse veneer inlaid; ornamented with oak-leaf frieze and royal Bee emblem, ormolu trophies of War and heraldic Roman Revival medallion, ribbon-tied arrow-forms, acanthus rosettes and raised on acanthus-sheathed hairy ormolu paw feet; comprising of a grand dining table, ten dining chairs, pair of armchairs, grand buffet and one commode.
