A distinctive French Transitional Style Canapé en Corbeille; A loveseat sofa Marquise; Hand carved and French foil gilded; Raised by flowering acanthus cabriole turned legs flanking a carved frieze centered by a richly carved floral pierced cabochon centered by a ribbon-tied bow quiver amidst blossoming flowers; Each scrolled arm is richly handcrafted with foliate carvings and acanthus C works leading up to a continuous blossoming frame all around the contour of the wicker cane high wing C shape back which is centered with an exquisite pierced works of grape-vine trellis and blossoming acanthus leaves surrounding a ribbon-tied quiver. The fine piece is a true statement piece mixing the Rococo and Baroque carving elements in a harmonious result. One of our large volume demanded pieces.
