A handsome Italian Louis XVI Transitional style ormolu-mounted and veneer inlaid octagonal shaped Pedestal Stand;
Surmounted with an octagonal shaped canted corners leveled marble top above a Cyma Recta Cavetto style leveled Cornice above the tapering form octagonal shaped body which finely double sans-traverse veneer inlaid; the recessed scalloped shaped central panels are framed with spiral ormolu bands and centered at top with most decorative ormolu rosette on each side; flanked with a finely chiseled pierced ormolu chutes of suspending ribbon-tied blossoming foliate mounts;
The central support is on a leveled astragal above a sans-traverse veneer inlaid bombé shaped curved plinth centered with a marvelous pierced ormolu bouquet of blossoming flowers and flanked with protruding corners adorned with ormolu acanthus leaves extended to the bold cabriole volute legs ornamented with fine scrolling ormolu acanthus leaves mounts.
