A very fine French Louis XV period ormolu-mounted and double cut veneer inlaid grand Display Pedestal Stand;
The leveled curved corners marble top rests above a scalloped shape frieze accented on each side center with a finely chiseled foliate ormolu Cartouche; each corner display support is double veneer inlaid within a delicate filet and ornamented on top with stunning ormolu long chutes representing suspending ribbon-tied pierced foliate ovoid Cartouche and on lower part with another fine long acanthus leaf ormolu mount, the display part is glassless and centered with a glass pane;
The top of the pedestal lower part of has a double veneer inlaid surface within a delicate filet encadrement and a scalloped shape frieze adorned on each side center with a fine pierced scrolling foliate ormolu mount and raised on a harmonious robust cabriole lags ornamented with scrolling ormolu sabots and connected with a double veneer inlaid concave sides X stretcher embellished with a hammered ormolu band to each edge.
