A remarkable and most impressive French Louis XV Rococo style ormolu-mounted double sans-traverse veneer inlaid and marble topped bombé shaped Majestic Pedestal Stand;
The inset marble top rests on a confronting stepped frieze above a concave shaped neck adorned with ormolu scrolling foliate encadrements on the four sides and cornered with exquisite and finely moulded pierced foliate and mottled ormolu C mounts; all above the bombé shaped double veneer inlaid body ornamented with intricately chiseled ormolu laurel wreath swaging garlands and ormolu imbricated foliate blossoming chain bands chutes on the four corners elongated with delicate hammered ormolu bands to the ormolu pierced scrolling foliate sabots mounted on the splayed legs, a sensational blossoming foliate ormolu mount between every pair of legs on each side.
